The Macomb Academy is a school for special needs adults ages 18-26. Students
attend 4 classes for 18 weeks designed to assist them with daily living skills while
teaching them to be independent. The Students work with a job coach at various locations
giving back to the community while learning skills that will help them to work independently.
Macomb Academy recently purchased building it resides in. However, the building is a
former office building requiring remodeling and many updates for it to work for the students.
The students are currently using hand me-down desks from other schools within the
district. Many of these desks are too small to fit Macomb Academy's young adults.
Having this benefit with your help will give the Academy the resources to reach their
remodeling goals and begin to purchase desks to fit their students.
