In 1972 three brothers Vincent, Dominic and Fred Severini who were residential developers decided to purchase an old farmhouse that lied on 120 acres along the
Clinton River in hopes of building apartments. 105 of those acres were on a non-buildable flood plain making it difficult to decide on how to utilize the land to it's
fullest potential. Vincent came up with the idea to build a golf course. Dominic and Fred thought he was crazy, especially it being in a rural area. They all came to an agreement and in 1973 the 9 hole golf course wa in "full swing". They converted the farmhouse into a pro shop and a small restaurant seating about 60 people (which
still stands at the south end of the parking lot). In 1980 the brothers decided to build a banquet hall, pro shop, Grille Room and 16 racquet ball courts that would
help serve the needs of the growing community in Clinton Twp. In 1981 the back nine was added, making it an 18 hole regulated golf course. The racquet ball fad was slowly coming to an end, the courts were converted into a 12 lane bowling facility. The final phase came in 2000 when the remaining racquet ball courts were converted into 2 more separate banquet rooms, one being used for our wedding chapel. The Severini brothers had always taken pride in helping and serving the community through the establishment, and to this day the second generation still own and operate this business according to these principals that were instilled in them.
